Newport News Green Foundation welcomes three new board members

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The Newport News Green Foundation announces the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors. Joining the board are Lindsey Carney, Dan Chenoweth, and Marvin Harris.

Lindsey Carney is a partner with Patten, Wornom, Hatten & Diamonstein, L.C. She holds a Bachelor of
Arts in Governmental Administration with Concentration in Legal Studies from Christopher Newport University and a Juris Doctor from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary. An active community volunteer, Ms. Carney has served on the boards of LINK of Hampton Roads, Trinity Lutheran School, United Way of the Virginia Peninsula, and the James River Country Club.

Dan Chenoweth is a partner with PBMares, LLP. He received his Bachelor of Arts, Master’s of  rofessional Accountancy (MPA), and Certificate of Forensic Accounting from West Virginia University. Mr. Chenoweth also serves on the Executive Committee of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.

Marvin Harris is a member of the Newport News School Board, representing the North District. A 22-year army veteran, Mr. Harris now serves the Army as a civilian employee at Fort Eustis. He is a member of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Virginia Peninsula Chapter, American Legion Post 368, Denbigh Military Retiree Club,
and Disabled American Veterans. Additionally, Mr. Harris has served on the Human Rights Commission and the City of Newport News Efficiency Task Force on City Government.
