Donated to the Foundation in December of 2001, this 4.84 acre parcel is located behind the Brentwood Shopping Center and is bordered on all sides by Residential Housing. We maintain it in its natural state and, as such, it contributes significantly to the city's tree canopy. This site is not publicly accessible.
This 1.8 acre lot is located on the corner of Lees Mill and Warwick Blvd and was donated to the Foundation with the lot across the street from it in January 2008. It is maintained mostly in its natural state to protect waterways that run through the property and under Warwick Blvd and out to our the City's reservoir.
This .39 acre lot was donated to the Foundation in November 2005. It sits just off the corner of Eastwood and Warwick Blvd and is currently being affected by construction work on the intersection intended to reduce flooding. Once the work is complete, the Foundation intends to return this property to a show place garden.
Our premier property Chatham Trail is 6.87 acres and was donated to the Foundation in March 2002. This property features a pond with fountain, a walking trail that is safe for puppy paws and strollers, and plenty of open space for events or picnics. In fact, this location is where we hold our annual fundraiser Party at the Pond. It is available for rent!
Located adjacent to Hilton Elementary School, the Hilton Ravine is a 6 acre property characterized by a natural stormwater ravine. The property is maintained by the Foundation on behalf of the City. It features an outdoor classroom, walking trail, and educational elements. We are in the process of renovating the area as the city completes much needed upgrades to the stormwater infrastructure in the surround Greater Hilton Neighborhood. This 2.1 acre lot was donated to the Foundation in February 2003. Located adjacent to the DMV on the corner of Denbigh Blvd and Patrick Henry Dr, the Foundation leaves this lot in a natural state preserving wildlife habitats and contributing to the tree canopy in the city.
This 2 acre lot was donated to the Foundation in April 2007. It sits on the corner of McLawhorne Dr and Jefferson Ave at the entrance to Hines Middle School and the Midtown Community Center. The Foundation maintains this lot as a partially wooded and partially showplace garden.
