Newport News Green Foundation Announces New Property Adoption Program

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The Newport News Green Foundation wants to engage area businesses and organizations in their core mission of green space preservation through a new property adoption program.  Property Adoption Partners commit to a minimum donation that covers the yearly maintenance of a property for a minimum of three years.  In exchange, the foundation will work with the partner to highlight their adoption through signage at the adopted property and other electronic and print marketing materials.

“We see this as a unique opportunity for businesses to demonstrate their commitment to the community and support our mission,” said Sharyn Fox, board president. “Since most of our properties are located along major thoroughfares it could also mean significant exposure for the business in a part of the city where they have little to none.”

Property adoption donations range from $1700 to $10000.  Drucker & Falk is leading this effort as the Founding Property Adopter and has already committed to a five-year adoption of the Foundation’s premier property, Chatham Trail, located at 401 Chatham Dr.

“Drucker & Falk has deep roots in our City,” said Ruth Deibler, resource chair.  “We are excited to grow our partnership with them through this program.”

Businesses or organizations wishing to learn more about the program should contact the foundation at info@nngreen.com or visit their website at www.nngreen.com.
